Terms of Use
Effective date: July 1, 2026. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AirspaceRegistry website, applications, registry, public API, and data (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Logan Security Consulting, LLC (“Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a subsidiary of Logan Industries, Inc. By accessing or using the Service you (“you” or “User”) agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is - and is not
The Service is a public registry, website, applications, and API providing informational preference metadata - voluntarily submitted by registrants, or inferred from published place classifications where expressly identified as default overlays - describing how land-owners and places prefer drones and other uncrewed aircraft, augmented reality, eVTOL, autonomous systems, robotics, location-aware applications, and other spatial-computing systems (collectively, "Spatial Activities") to relate to their location, including time-based preferences.
The data is not permissions, authorizations, clearances, no-fly determinations, or regulatory data, and is not a substitute for any aviation or governmental authority, law, ordinance, or airspace authorization. Nothing in the Service grants or denies any right to operate anywhere.
2. Not for flight safety
The Service is not a navigation, flight-planning, collision-avoidance, air-traffic, or aviation-safety service. It must not be relied upon for real-time or operational decisions involving aircraft, drones, eVTOLs, autonomous vehicles or systems, robotics, or any safety-critical system.
You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and operational requirements, and for all operational and safety decisions. You assume all risk arising from any reliance on the Service.
3. No government affiliation
AirspaceRegistry is an independent, private registry. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the FAA, NASA, any local, state, or national government, aviation authority, or other regulatory body, unless expressly stated in writing.
4. Eligibility, accounts & credentials
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. Where an account or API credentials are required, you must provide accurate information and keep it current, and you are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or credentials. You must safeguard your credentials and notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized use.
5. Content you submit
You retain ownership of the location information and preferences you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and cache it through the Service and API, including to third parties, for the purpose of operating the registry.
You represent that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it may be publicly displayed. Registry entries are public - do not submit anything you wish to keep private. We may remove or decline any User Content at our discretion. User Content is informational and voluntary; it is not a permission or authorization.
6. Acceptable use
You will use the Service only lawfully. You will not: interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; attempt to gain unauthorized access; introduce malware; misrepresent the data as authoritative permissions or regulatory determinations; use the Service to harass, surveil, or target any individual; or use it in any manner that violates applicable law.
7. License to use the API and data
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the API and to use the data it returns within your own applications and services. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. This license transfers no ownership in the Service, our software, or our compiled database.
8. Attribution
You must credit "AirspaceRegistry" as the source wherever the data is displayed or made available in your product or documentation. Where the data derives from third-party open datasets, you must preserve their required attribution - including "(c) Overture Maps Foundation" for place data sourced from Overture Maps.
9. Restrictions
You will not:
- bulk-extract, scrape, or systematically download the data in order to reconstruct, replicate, or create a substitute for the AirspaceRegistry database;
- create derivative registries, mirror services, competing APIs, synthetic datasets, or any product that is substantially similar to, or a substitute for, the Service;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the dataset, in whole or in substantial part;
- use the Service or its data to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or create machine-learning or AI models, or derivative datasets, that replicate, compete with, or substantially reproduce the Service, unless expressly authorized in writing;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works from any software or application component of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- represent the data as authoritative permissions, clearances, or regulatory determinations;
- use the data to identify, contact, surveil, harass, or target any individual, except through channels we expressly provide;
- attempt to re-identify, extract, or infer the personal information of any registrant;
- remove or obscure attribution, or circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls.
10. Free access today; pricing reserved
The Service is currently offered free of charge during an introductory period. Free access is a courtesy, not an entitlement. We reserve the right, at any time and at our sole discretion, to introduce fees, usage tiers, rate limits, quotas, paid plans, or required API keys; to change or discontinue free access; and to meter or restrict access by volume or use case. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of material pricing changes. Your continued use of the Service after any such change constitutes acceptance of it.
11. API changes & versioning
We may add, remove, rename, deprecate, or modify endpoints, response fields, schemas, data formats, authentication methods, or API behavior at any time. You are responsible for maintaining your integration's compatibility with the current version of the API, and we are not liable for disruptions caused by changes you have not accommodated.
12. Caching & data freshness
You may cache API responses only to a reasonable extent for performance, and you must periodically refresh cached data so that stale preferences are not served. We may specify maximum cache-expiration intervals (including via HTTP cache headers), require refresh, or invalidate cached records, and you must comply. You must not present cached data as current beyond its reasonable freshness.
13. Availability & rate limits
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may impose or change rate limits and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee availability, uptime, or that the Service will be error-free.
14. Consent to use of data
We may collect and use technical and usage data (for example, device, log, and analytics data) to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy policy. You consent to such collection and use.
15. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, its curation and organization, and the AirspaceRegistry database as a compiled and curated whole are our property and are protected by intellectual-property and other laws. Our support for open interoperability standards (such as OGC GeoPose and Open AR Cloud OSCP formats) concerns data formats only and transfers no rights in our implementation, pipeline, or compiled database. Individual factual records may be facts; the curated compilation, the Service, and the brand are proprietary.
16. Data accuracy & no warranty
Preference data is informational and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. In particular, type-default ("overlay") entries are inferred suggestions by place category - not preferences stated by an owner - and are flagged as such in the data (is_default). The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of or reliance on the Service or its data. You assume all risk associated with your use of the Service.
18. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or liability arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
19. Force majeure
We are not responsible or liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet or network outages, cloud-provider or third-party service failures, natural disasters, cyberattacks, labor disputes, governmental actions, or acts of God.
20. Privacy
Querying the Service does not require you to provide personal information, and the Service does not expose registrants' personal contact information. You must not use the data to identify or contact individuals except through channels we expressly provide. See our Privacy policy for details.
21. Export compliance
You are responsible for complying with all applicable export-control and sanctions laws in your use of the Service, and you may not access or use the Service where prohibited by such laws.
22. U.S. Government end users
The Service and its data are "commercial" items. Any use, reproduction, or disclosure by or on behalf of the U.S. Government is subject to these Terms and to the restrictions on commercial items in 48 C.F.R. 12.212 and 227.7202, as applicable.
23. Mobile applications & app stores
Any native application we distribute through an app store is additionally governed by that store's end-user license terms - for example, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where required by the store, the store operator is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with respect to that application, and the store's terms control in the event of a conflict for that application.
24. Changes, termination & governing law
We may update these Terms; changes take effect when posted, and continued use constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or revoke access for any violation. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
25. Survival
Any provision that by its nature should survive termination will survive, including Content you submit, Attribution, Restrictions, Intellectual Property, Data Accuracy & No Warranty, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and these general provisions.
26. Entire agreement & severability
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior understandings. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.
